Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2026

Versifii Inc. ("Versifii", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through versifii.com (the "site"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the site and to conversations that start there. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any other privacy laws that apply to us.

1. Who we are

Versifii is an operator-led holding company based in Ontario, Canada. We partner with owner-led businesses at every stage and support them with an operating team. Our Privacy Officer is accountable for how we handle personal information and can be reached using the details in section 15.

2. What counts as personal information

Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. It does not include information that has been made anonymous, or business contact information (such as your name, title, business email and business phone number) that we use only to communicate with you about your business or profession.

3. Information we collect

When you contact us. Your name, company, email address, phone number (optional), how you describe yourself (founder/owner, investor, partner or other) and your message.

When you use the Partnership Fit tool. Your answers to four short prequalification questions, plus your company name, sector, a description of your company and its current priorities. The tool does not ask for your name or contact details. Please do not include personal information or confidential financial information in it.

When you visit the site. Technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the website that referred you and your approximate location (country) based on your IP address. This is collected by our hosting provider and by the services that help deliver the site, such as web fonts and the security check on our forms.

We do not ask for government identification, social insurance numbers, banking or payment information through the site. Please do not send it to us.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • reply to your enquiry and continue the conversation you started;
  • understand whether there may be a fit between your business and Versifii;
  • prepare the preliminary Partnership Fit overview you ask for;
  • protect the site and our forms against spam, fraud and abuse;
  • understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it; and
  • meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

When you send us information for an obvious purpose, such as submitting the contact form so we can reply, your consent to that use is implied. We ask for express consent where the law requires it, for example before your details are processed by AI in the Partnership Fit tool. We may collect, use or disclose personal information without consent only where the law allows it, such as to prevent fraud or abuse of the site, to obtain legal advice or to comply with a legal requirement.

We do not sell personal information. We will not add you to a mailing list without your express consent, and any marketing message we send will include a simple way to unsubscribe.

5. The Partnership Fit tool and AI

When you ask for an overview, the company information and prequalification answers you provide are sent to an artificial intelligence model, run by a third-party provider through our website platform, to write your overview. You consent to this by ticking the box before you generate it.

Your overview is displayed in your browser. We do not save it, and it is only kept if you choose to download it. Your prequalification answers are stored without your name or contact details, used only for that session, and deleted once used or within 24 hours. Our AI providers process this information under their own terms and may do so outside Canada.

AI-generated overviews can be incomplete or inaccurate. Our Terms of Use explain how they should, and should not, be used.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. The site relies on a small number of technologies it needs to work:

  • a security check (Cloudflare Turnstile) on our forms, which helps tell people from automated bots;
  • basic, aggregated visit statistics provided by our hosting platform; and
  • web fonts delivered by Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google.

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies. If you do, some features, such as the security check on our forms, may not work.

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for them, we do not respond to these signals. As noted above, we do not track you across other websites.

7. How we share information

We share personal information only as described in this policy:

  • Service providers that host the site and its database, deliver email notifications, run the security check and provide AI processing. Today these include Lovable (website platform and hosting), Supabase (database), Twilio SendGrid (email delivery), Cloudflare (security check), Google (web fonts) and OpenAI (AI model, accessed through Lovable). They may use personal information only to provide services to us.
  • Affiliated companies and the operating team that works with us, where needed to respond to you or to evaluate a potential partnership.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, who are bound by confidentiality.
  • A business transaction, such as a financing, merger or sale involving Versifii, subject to confidentiality obligations.
  • Where required or permitted by law, including to respond to a lawful request from a government authority.

8. Where your information is stored

Our service providers may store and process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and other authorities there. We use contractual and other measures to protect it.

9. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy and to meet our legal obligations. Contact form submissions are kept for three years from the date we receive them and are then deleted. If your enquiry leads to an ongoing relationship, we keep the information we need for as long as that relationship lasts and our legal obligations require. If we use your personal information to make a decision that directly affects you, we keep it for at least one year so you have a reasonable opportunity to ask for access to it. When we no longer need information, we securely delete it or make it anonymous.

10. How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections, restricted access to stored submissions and automated spam protection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send confidential information through the site.

11. Links to other websites

The site may link to other websites, such as LinkedIn. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.

12. Children

The site is intended for founders/owners and professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Your choices and rights

You may:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete; and
  • withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you do, we may not be able to continue a conversation or provide the Partnership Fit tool.

To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need more time and why.

14. Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we handle personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
